FAQ
Common questions like
Is psilocybin facilitation legal in Colorado?
Colorado’s Natural Medicine Program allows licensed facilitators to provide regulated psilocybin services — including preparation, the administration session, and integration — to adults who meet program criteria. These services are provided by Rick Hipp in his capacity as a Colorado-licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator. Psilocybin facilitation is not a medical treatment. These services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical or mental-health condition, and they are not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric care, or psychotherapy. Psilocybin is not approved by the FDA and remains illegal under federal law.
Will I be safe?
Yes. The environment is carefully prepared, and you’ll be supported by Rick—a licensed therapist with psychedelic facilitation training.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No diagnosis is required. A readiness assessment will determine if this work is right for you.
How do I prepare?
We’ll meet beforehand to discuss your background, answer questions, and prepare emotionally and practically.
What does it cost?
Pricing varies based on the number of sessions. A free consultation is available to discuss your needs and options.
Where does psilocybin come from?
Psilocybin is a natural compound found in over 180 species of mushrooms, often called “magic mushrooms.” Used for centuries in healing traditions, it’s now offered legally in Colorado in a safe, structured setting. In therapy, it’s not just the psilocybin, but the preparation and integration that support healing and insight.
How is psychedelic-assisted therapy different from traditional talk therapy?
Psychedelic-assisted therapy combines guided therapeutic support with the use of psilocybin to help access deeper emotional insight and healing. While talk therapy helps over time, the psilocybin experience can offer powerful breakthroughs that are then explored during integration sessions.
Is this a substitute for therapy or medical care?
If you are currently under the care of a physician or mental-health provider, please consult them before pursuing psilocybin services.
